Keeping busy

I'm still here, although, just a little bit frazzled, but still here! Half term has been fun, but very tiring. Both children caught a sickness bug, which started last Friday with Poppy, followed by Jamie on Monday and myself the next day...aagghh, why do the children always get sick when Andy's away???

I thought I would show some of the lovely custom projects I've been working on. I love Custom work and enjoy sewing new combinations of fabrics and appliques

This is my Matroyska applique, the exception to all my other appliques, which are hand cut from lovely soft wool blend felt. For this I have the most gorgeous Japanese fabric, from which I pick a lovely lady, she is then heat bonded and then hand appliqued to the flag. I can't resist adding a few little embroidery details.

The finished Bunting in Bliss

British Cream Tea with pretty Button Embellishments, my most popular collection

LOVE this combination of pretty Lecien fabrics

Navy Polka Dots and Pale Pink felt, simple yet oh so pretty..... very Preppy!

Berrylicious, yum.... Thank you to my lovely customers!

Other exiting news, Little Kitten Homemade made the front page of Etsy again this week. My Nautical Bunting was included in this smashing Treasury

it was curated by Tricia, and included some fabulous creations, thanks Tricia!

My Buntings have made the front page 4 times now, which is just fabulous

Other news, keep watching my blog, it's due to receive a makeover very soon, I'm VERY excited, think polka dots and red, white and blue!

I hope you have a lovely weekend, 'till next time.

Red Dots & Spots Treasury

I'm in LOVE with this Treasury by PoppySparkles

Thank you Viv, for including my Tea Party Bunting!

There is nothing that I do not like included within this treasury, but I'm particularly drawn to the red papers, by LilyBimble, which would be perfect for a new little project I'm working on and the Beach Hut cushion, by Mojosewsew's which would look great in the revamp of my kitchen that I'm planning for next spring.

Stop and smell the flowers Treasury

A very pretty treasury by Hilarysarobot, thank you for including my Liberty Bunting.

Harvest Treasury

This is a gorgeous treasury, the colours just make you think of the soon to be on us, Autumn months. Thank you to Giggles for including my Autumn Bunting.

Treasuries

How lovely is this treasury called 'Magenta and Navy' put together by Tami from Adorable Little Me . Up the top there, is my new Fairy bunting in Liberty Magenta fabrics.

Hot news 4 buntings have sold YAY!
Sorry for the lack of posts, it's school holidays and things are a tad hectic. But I'm still sewing and creating, all be it with two children either sat by my side, on my lap or leaping about in front of me! Thanks goodness my bunting involves lots of hand sewing, so far this week, I've taken it to my inlaws for the weekend, the garden, my parents house etc etc It's also observed us making cake, painting, drawing and having tea parties. All go here.

I hope you're enjoying the holidays.

Check it out

What a colourful and fun treasury my Wimbledon bunting has found itself in. I love the pink elephants, I've been wanting to make a felt elephant applique for my bunting for a while now to go on the Cath Kidston Paisley fabric. I feel inspired!

Thank you to Jamie for including me.

London Calling

My boys Britannia bunting has been picked for this Union Jack inspired treasury. I love the Mini Cooper references. I has one in life before children, she was yellow with a black roof and I called her Molly. She definitely didn't mix with children however, I could get 4 bags of shopping in the boot at a push and that was it. Some how she just wasn't compatible with my 3 in 1 pram system that we bought. I still think of her fondly though.

Anyway back to crafting, thank you to colourbee for including me.

A WHOLE day sewing

Yesterday I had a WHOLE day, yes I mean a WHOLE day, from 7.30am until 6.00pm sewing, stopped for tea and bath time, and then did some more sewing whilst watching Star Wars, the original one (again) with Andy. Andy was in full Daddy mode and in charge of the children and I spent, the day, wrapping and packing, answering emails, hand sewing some personalised bunting and creating some new ready to ship bunting for my Etsy shop, photo's coming soon.
Not wishing to sound unsociable, but I had a blissful day. I love my family absolutely without question and I juggle being a SAHM, with my sewing, but every now and then I need some ME time AND I had lots to do. This was my first whole LITTLE KITTEN HOMEMADE day since Andy got back, it was sunny, I had the windows of my sewing room wide open, I had a few visits from the children, a friend, and my mum, but in the main it was me, my fabric and no noise. (which after a weeks half term is fab!)
Here's some completed bunting:

A gorgeous 'Amy' bunting using her duck egg, green and pink fabrics

A pretty Cath Kidston floral mixed with a delicate red and white stripe and green dot

More 'Amy' fabrics, this time in vibrant pinks and oranges

Pretty pinks, again, but with pale pink and soft green and some matching tie backs, a special commission

and last thing, Hooray, my Britannia bunting made it into a Treasury 'RULE BRITANNIA' , you can see it here
Thank you to Cat from www.cattaylor.etsy.com for including my bunting.
